How come it costs more per square foot to add a room addition or remodel than to build a new home ? Remodeling most often includes demolition, bringing existing construction up to current codes and often includes special logistics to accommodate living in the house while under construction. All of these increase the final costs.
Can I remodel my older ranch or multi floor home to safely age in place or have my parent(s) come live with me? Yes,we have many beautiful options to provide safety and accessibility to any home no matter how old it may be. Kitchens,bathrooms,elevators,stairlifts,
heated floors are just a few of numerous options.
Can you build a plan or picture of a home we saw in a magazine or have a picture of? What if we have our own plans? We can build to your plans as long as they are not copyrighted to another owner and can pass local plan review for permitting. Of course we can design build from your own creative ideas as well.
What about warranties? In addition to the standard 1 year warranty required by Virginia Law we provide a 10year structural warranty issued by 2-10 Warranty Corporation.
Do you charge for estimates? we do not charge for initial consultations. Full estimates and/or design require deposits that will be credited to the contract price once executed.
What if I change my mind on a build or remodel? By law for a remodel, you have 3 business days to void your contract. After three days the contract is fully enforceable.
